Elliott N. Kramsky is an AV-rated attorney whose practice, limited to intellectual property matters, is based in Woodland Hills, California. He maintains a satellite office in Century City for the convenience of his Westside-based clients. Born in New York City, Mr. Kramsky attended the University of California at Los Angeles, where he earned a B.S. in Engineering in 1967 and an M.S. in Engineering Control Systems in 1969. Mr. Kramsky went on to receive another Masters degree, this one in Economics, from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1971.
Upon receiving his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 1973, Mr. Kramsky returned to California to work in various intellectual property positions. These included a position with the Government (Office of Naval Research (San Francisco)) followed by an initial stint in private practice with the Los Angeles law firm of Harris, Kern, Wallen & Tinsley. A corporate position followed with Hughes Aircraft Company in Los Angeles. In 1980, Mr. Kramsky left Hughes to take a position with the Los Angeles law firm of Nilsson, Robbins, Dalgarn, Berliner, Carson & Wurst, and in 1982 he began a three-year stretch as a Patent and Licensing Counsel for Litton Systems in Woodland Hills, California. In 1985, he established the Law Offices of Elliott N. Kramsky in Woodland Hills where he has been providing intellectual property law services ever since. He has drawn upon his deep reservoir of pertinent education and broad exposure to the workings of law firm, corporate and Government practices to incorporate the best features of each into a private practice that offers business of every size (including large corporations and individuals) efficient, affordable services tailored to the client's particular needs and resources. One need only peruse his portfolio of issued patents to appreciate the scope of his clientele and services.
Mr. Kramsky is admitted to the Bars of the State and various District Courts of California, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association, the Licensing Executives Society, the Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of California, and the Bar Associations of Los Angeles County and the San Fernando Valley and a published author, with more than a dozen articles published in scholarly and trade publications on intellectual property matters. He is also a recognized expert in intellectual property law who has served as an expert witness as well as a consultant to intellectual property publications of California Continuing Education of the Bar. Mr. Kramsky has been active in a wide variety of local business and community organizations, including the Valley Industry and Commerce Association, the Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce, and the UCLA Chancellor's Associates.
